USA VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR PLAYER AGE RESTRICTIONS
During the 2019-2020- Season:
The youngest age level at which an athlete may participate during the 2019-2020 season is the athlete’s age on August 31, 2020.**
Determine the athlete’s age on August 31, 2020 and that will determine the athlete’s lowest age level for competition. For example, an athlete who is 17 years of age at any moment on August 31, 2020 must play at an age level of 17 or above.
** Once a player participates (including but not limited to practicing, training, attending workouts and/or competing) in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he/she is ineligible to take part in any regional and national programming, which includes but is not limited to national JNC qualifying and championship events, regardless of the athlete’s age. However, a high school athlete who is no older than 19 years of age on August 31, 2020 may participate on a 18 and under team.
